Fashioned after a Ming dynasty style 5 drawer 'treasures case', the box features the Chinese character for 'long life' on the top and drawers. The piece was hand-crafted by artisans in the Guangdong province of mainland China and employs classic Chinese mortise and tenon floating panel joinery and finishing techniques. The top compartment and drawers are lined with a fine taupe felt and a felt ring tray in bottom drawer. A rich hand-rubbed medium rosewood finish tops of the jewelry box.
